Some of the downsides of concrete floors

Hardness – a feather bed concrete is not! Your concrete floor will be hard underfoot, and that means that it can be very uncomfortable to walk on.

Cracking – no matter how perfectly a concrete floor is installed over time crack and cracking will develop. This is due to the fact that most concrete floors are installed in areas that are exposed to a harsh atmosphere. 

Environmental issues – while concrete is not by itself a biohazardous material the factors that make it a good choice for a durable floor also make it very hard to break down.
